Because the intake may contain sensitive information, we request express consent during the intake process.

You control what optional information and supporting evidence you submit. However, declining to provide information necessary for the analysis may prevent us from completing the service.

You may withdraw consent to future collection, use, or disclosure by contacting us. Withdrawal does not invalidate processing that already occurred with valid consent and may be subject to legal, contractual, or record-retention restrictions.

7. Analytics, Cookies, and Advertising Technology

Our website may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, understand visits, measure advertising, and improve performance.

Where configured, the Meta Pixel or Conversions API may receive information such as device and browser information, IP address, page activity, purchase-event information, and hashed contact identifiers used for matching and attribution.

Meta and other advertising providers do not receive the contents of your intake, photographs, messages, screenshots, Clarity Brief, or personalized video analysis from us.

Where required, non-essential cookies and advertising technologies will be used according to your consent choices. You may also control cookies through your browser and adjust advertising preferences through the relevant advertising platform.

Blocking some technologies may affect website functionality or our ability to measure advertising.

8. The Sharp Dating Clarity Bank

Sharp Dating Solutions may derive and retain generalized, de-identified insights from analyses completed through the service to develop and improve the Sharp Dating Clarity Bank. These insights may include recurring dating patterns, diagnostic principles, and effective adjustments.

Information retained for this purpose will not identify you or include:

  • Your name or contact information

  • Your photographs

  • Raw messages or conversations

  • Screenshots

  • Complete dating profiles

  • Other information that could reasonably be linked to you

By purchasing and using the service, you acknowledge that these non-identifying insights may be retained and used to improve our methodology and future services.

9. Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and to meet legal and legitimate business requirements.

Identifiable intake materials, submitted evidence, and personalized deliverables will normally be retained for approximately 12 months after delivery. This period allows you a reasonable opportunity to request access to the information used in preparing your analysis and permits us to address guarantee requests, complaints, technical issues, or disputes.

After the applicable retention period, these materials will be securely deleted or de-identified unless continued retention is reasonably necessary for legal, security, complaint-handling, or other legitimate business purposes.

Transaction, tax, accounting, consent, and contract records may be kept for longer periods where required by law.

You may request earlier deletion. We will honour the request where reasonably possible, but we may retain limited information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

Information stored in protected backups may remain until the applicable backup is overwritten or securely retired. It will not be returned to routine use after a valid deletion request.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, loss, or disposal.

Safeguards may include restricted access, access controls, secure service providers, authentication measures, and security monitoring appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a privacy breach occurs, we will investigate and provide notifications where required by applicable law.

11. International Processing

Some service providers may process or store information outside British Columbia or Canada, including in the United States.

When information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement agencies, or government authorities under those laws.

We select reputable providers and use reasonable contractual and security measures appropriate to the information involved.

  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information

  • Information about how your personal information has been used or disclosed

To make a request, email [email protected] with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. Certain legal exceptions may limit the information we can provide, including where disclosure would reveal another person’s personal information or privileged information.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia at https://www.oipc.bc.ca.

13. Marketing Communications

We may send marketing messages only where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law.

You may unsubscribe using the link in an email or by contacting [email protected].

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending transactional messages required to process, deliver, support, or refund a purchase.

14. Adults Only

The Sharp Dating Aha is intended only for people aged 18 or older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe that a minor has submitted information, contact us so that we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

15. External Links

Our website may link to websites or services operated by other organizations. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for those practices.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, or legal obligations change.

The effective date at the top will identify the latest version. If a change materially affects how previously collected sensitive information is used, we will obtain additional consent where required.
